An opportunity for everyone—families, friends, and supporters—to come together and create art to raise awareness for SCN8A.

We invite you to contribute original artwork to help raise awareness and support families affected by SCN8A. Whether it’s a drawing, painting, photograph, or another creative piece, your art can bring joy and hope.

These art pieces showcase different ways to create meaningful and unique artwork, whether through footprints, handprints, assisted drawing, or freeform creativity. Use these examples as a starting point to spark ideas and make something special!

Join Us for the SCN8A Community Art Auction!

The International SCN8A Alliance is excited to announce our upcoming Art Auction, an opportunity for the SCN8A community to come together, showcase creativity, and raise funds to improve the lives of those living with SCN8A. All proceeds will go directly toward funding for the first collaborative grant that supports the research priorities identified in the Global SCN8A Research Roadmap.

We’re inviting everyone connected to the SCN8A community — those with SCN8A, family members, artists, and supporters — to participate by contributing original art. Let’s make this event a celebration of creativity, connection, and compassion!

How You Can Participate

We welcome contributions of artwork that can be easily mailed, including:

Drawings
Paintings
Photography prints
Handmade crafts
Other lightweight and shippable creations

We also welcome personal services by artists including portrait of an SCN8A hero and professional photography session for an SCN8A family

This event is open to all ages! Whether it’s a child’s heartfelt creation or a professional piece, every contribution will help us get closer to improved quality of life and treatments for our loved ones with SCN8A.

Submission Details

Entry Form:
- Fill out our Art Auction Entry Form.
- Artwork details (title, medium, artist, date).
- Provide details about your art to calculate shipping costs (dimensions, weight).
- Upload 2-4 photos of your piece.
Shipping:
- Once your piece is sold, you will ship it directly to the buyer.
- The International SCN8A Alliance will cover shipping costs by providing prepaid shipping information. In case of extenuating circumstances, shipments may be delayed.
Consent:
- By entering, you agree to allow the SCN8A Alliance to use images of your art for promotional purposes (e.g., social media, website).

Timeline

Submission Period: Opens February 9, 2025 and closes March 15, 2025.
Auction Dates: April 30, 2025 to May 9, 2025.
Shipping Deadline: Sold items must be shipped within 10 days of receiving the buyer’s details. In case of extenuating circumstances, shipments may be delayed.

How the Auction Works

All art will be displayed online during the auction period.
Bidders from around the world will have the opportunity to bid on and win your amazing creations.
100% of proceeds will support SCN8A research.
