This poster outlines the SCN8A Research Roadmap, presented by Dr. Michael Hammer at AES 2024. It highlights knowledge gaps, barriers to progress, and stakeholder survey results, emphasizing the integration of survey findings into key research priorities. Five working groups address transformative therapies, non-seizure outcomes, therapeutic improvements, biomarkers, and brain-body relationships. The goal is to enhance interdisciplinary collaboration, align caregiver and clinician needs, and accelerate research toward effective treatments for SCN8A-related disorders.
